Ketone Monoesters

These are amazing when you need to be productive on keto. It's my number-1 productivity hack.

monoesters

These are not exogonous ketones -- they're a different molecule that your brain can directly use for energy.

  • NIH Study
  • My opinion:
    • They give you a rush of energy
    • Without knocking you out of ketosis
    • No jitters etc...
    • No noticeable side-effects (so far)

Products

There are 2 companies that make this stuff, it's about the same price.

Delta G

This is my favorite -- they have a "delta gold" coffee booster that is amazing. Whenever I need to zone in & crush some code, I throw this in a pot of coffee and it gets me where I need to be immediately.

KetoneAid

This one ships faster (from Amazon) and has the same concentration active ingredient, but I don't like it as much. It's less viscous than the delta-g and tastes much stronger (I wouldn't mix it with coffee).

It's great for mixing with salt-water before a workout -- but that's not my primary use-case. Entertainingly, the Amazon product images have a super long embedded video that goes into the licensing drama & family history.

Common Confusion

Another company, HVMN, used to license the IP for this product but no longer has permission to manufacture it.

They have some good exogonous ketone products -- just not the monoesters anymore (at the time of writing, afaict).

Conclusion

I can't say enough good things about Delta-G. It's my top productivity hack.

All of my time sifting through esoteric nonsense is well-spent, if only to have discovered this product.
